Jaz Robbins, Psy.D., BCHN®, is a therapist and a board-certified holistic nutritionist. Dr. Robbins holds an undergraduate degree in Food Science and Nutrition as well as master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology. She received specialized training in ethics from 2016-2020 from Dr. Pamela Harmell, and began teaching graduate-level ethics courses in 2020. Dr. Robbins is current a professor of ethics at Pepperdine University as well as UCLA Extension where she provides instruction to students earning certifications in Alcohol & Drug Counseling. Additionally, she teaches substance use courses at the University of Southern California and she has been an active member of the Ethics Committee at the Los Angeles County Psychological Association since 2020.
Dr. Robbins has been a nutritionist since 2005 and she has been treating mental health clients since 2017. As a therapist she has provided services to adults battling opiate dependency, males participating in a faith-based residential recovery program, adults who met criteria for borderline personality disorder, Veterans struggling with combat trauma, university students, and individuals battling chronic health issues. As an individual who prides herself in providing services to traditionally marginalized communities, leading with cultural humility has become the foundation of her work.
